It's azure seas and fun-filled beaches are a favourite with families and groups of friends, whilst its party atmosphere is legendary. Away from the lively hubs, however, there are also traditional whitewashed villages, beautiful greenery and tranquil coastal coves.

Eating & Drinking

Figueretas offers a huge choice of restaurants, and whilst a typical Spanish menu dominates, there is a good range of snack bars, pizzerias and fast-food joints on offer too. There are lots of bars to choose from including hotel bars, music bars and discos.

Playa d'en Bossa has a good selection of informal, cafe-style restaurants and snack bars. British food dominates, but Spanish, Italian and Chinese cuisine can also be found. There is a similarly large choice of bars on offer too including music bars and Irish pubs.

San Antonio has one of the widest selections of restaurants ranging from from nouvelle cuisine and paella, to burgers and Tex Mex. San Antonio's strong association with clubbing means that the most popular place to enjoy a drink is often in one of the enormous nightclubs.

Santa Eulalia: A number of good-quality Spanish restaurants are on offer here as well as plenty of informal, cafes. There are a choice of hotel bars and music bars on offer.

Entertainment

All the resorts offer a good range of water sports including glass bottomed boat trips, jet skis, diving and windsurfing - and if that is not enough water based activity for you then visit the nearby waterparks for a great day out. Alternatively keep your feet on dry ground with a wander around historic Ibiza Town, go karting, mini golf or ten-pin bowling.

The surrounding area

The island is only 45km long and 25km wide so it is easy to get out and about and explore the whole island, especially on the mini-train. A visit to the famous Hippy Market at Es Cana is a must, while the stalactite Caves at C'an Marca and the salt fields on the south of the island are spectacular sights.
